I'm looking at trying to sort out the cooling on Old Rusty. It always runs hot if driven fast for more than a short burst.
I have bought a new replacement Mustang radiator, (four row) but the tanks are quite small, and I have to add bigger and extra new necks for the flatty. I also have a tractor radiator, which is similar dimensions, but has a much bigger top tank. The tractor rad is also a four row, but the rows are staggered. The bigger tanks would more easily accept the larger/extra necks, and I'm sure the extra water capacity would help. Any reason why I should not use the tractor rad??
Any advise gratefully received.
Mart.

Sounds like it should work, you won't be the first person to use a tractor rad. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have the Must radiator in my A[348 chev] but I was thinking the tractor radiator would have looked mor like a stock ford instead.-I would try it.

Only difference I can see in car/tractor radiator is extra weight. Go for it! Would look more "traditional".

There's a tractor rad in mine Mart - think it was a Fiat that a local trader had as a display in the window. Kept an ancient flattie cool for the last 6 years.

I'll try it.
It's a bit knocked about, but I will have to pull the top tank anyhow to clean it out. While it's off I can knock the dents out.
Been struggling all day with a major computer crash. Got back online with an old machine on pay per minute dialup!
Yikes. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
