You need more pics of that car. That grill treatment..and that visor gives that car a unique look. Nice!

My take is it would look better without the visor...but I have been known to run one on my car. I think what messes it up is that it is a universal fit visor, and doesn't "flow" well with the lines of the car. I had a friend, an older guy, who gave me all kind of hell about my visor. his quote, "we didn't want that shit back then, that was old man shit. I've taken them off, folded them double over my knee, and thrown them in the trash....!" But, on some cars it does create the illusion of being chopped...I think it's about time to put mine back on for a while!

Way cool Nic, except the visor. Sell it to Kojack and leave it alone or get a factory 49-51 visor.

Nor Cal, great lookin' box...dig the grill and the headlight scallops, but the visor looks 1952 JC Whitney or Sears/Roebuck to me....Stitch

Nor Ca Nick,
Great looking car. You must be happy you did not build it for the guys who don't like the visor, or you would have screwed up.
Different, and cool look for the Ford! I like it.
I just picked up a 50 coupe body. Solid and straight. Was thinking maybe a 78 T Bird, or Caprice under it. They both have 114WB. Any thoughts?

thanx for the feedback,gang... that visor is an ol' fulton. fits all split windshield cars and trucks, in theory... it's a new addition, just did it friday. SANDMAN, i'm not the guy to ask about the chassis but, if i was in your shoes i'd look for an old donor with a rough body and go original. and thanx also for the praise on the scallops... that was my first try at taping and spraying i'm gonna' round them out a bit though, i don't like that sharp curve... the lesson learned is just do it, you'll surprise yourself.

Sandman, I've seen a 49 ford that was channeled 4 inches over a '77 T-bird chassis. To me it looked good, my buddy didn't like how they did the firewall though. It was cut off at the seam and sunk back in. I believe it used to belong to someone in the KKOA. I hope this helps, later plmczy

Thanks PLMCZY. 76,77,78 T Birds have the right wheel base. Maybe the motor set back is to far, thats why the screwed up fire wall treatment? I'm gona have to look real close at all the angels. Chevy Caprice, and LTD's are some other options with a good wheel base. Thank you for the help.

The motor was set right, he said about them using the T-bird steering box, being so big. He thinks that is why the firewall was sunk back in. They also used the T-bird steering column in it. The dash seemed to cramp the driver because of the column they used. later plmczy

Nice, Nic-

I've always like the business coupe over the two door sedan body for shoebox Fords.

See you soon homee,

Kojack will kill you, shoebox72.

I, of course, think the visor looks fine. You don't see too many Fulton's on shoeboxes, and I think it makes it look different. I think what folks don't like about it is that it looks a bit off because the visor is glossy, and the center bracket needs to be scooted up to align better with the roof.

Keep it!

The steering box and column can be corrected. How was the wheel track. Did the wheels sit in side the fenders ok?
I'm getting jazed..... might need to go shopping soon!
