The ball joint broke at the threads. Luckily I was in a parking lot and only slid about 2 feet on the A-arm.

Just because you saw my truck didn't mean you had to go to such radical measures to slam your P.U. as well!

The shop should be open again in a couple of weeks. We will probably have a Grand opening, but we have lots of work to do first. The new space is going to be nice. And the parking doesn't suck.

The only thing I can think of that could have caused the ball joint to break is the absence of the rubber snubber on the top a-arm and the hammering fatiged the metal. It has been without one on that side for years.

Sorry, I don't have any pics handy of the work beast. I will try to take one later today. 64 chevy c10 longbed. Scallops only finished on one side. Bent frame, salvage title, best truck I ever had. All the pieces to the Olds are in place and I picked up a 64 impala crossmember for the trans. I like it better than a square tube. Thanks for the pics Donnie.
