I've been trying to contact him all week to no avail. Is he still in buisness? 626 280 4546? Does anyone have a spare set of his cast/weld on rear spring perches that they're not using? I bought a set locally which where Pete and Jakes and although they're beautifully made they're not going to cut it for my traditional car... Thanks...

I like to know too. This is an old thread but it was never answered. Are they still around. I'd like to buy some of their rear frame adapters that they (used to) sell. The only number I found appears to be a fax number.

I ordered an intake manifold for one of my A's quite some time back and still have not got it. I ordered a head for the same one and spring perches and received them. In their book it has 626-280-2121 for a number also

Well, I tried 626-280-2121 but got a Doctors office.
The 626-288-3311 number gets a tone like it's a FAX number.
Does anybody in Rosemead know if they are still open?
They used to be located at 9107 Garvey Ave. If thay are gone, does anybody know if another company bought their parts.
I'm looking for a set of PSI rear adapters for attaching rear radius rods.
They look like this:

I used off the shelf Pete & Jakes pieces. I pie cut and welded them to tighten up the inner radius to match my banjo before I set them up on the diff. After I'd tacked them in place I took and had a guy tig weld them ALL THE WAY AROUND the axle so as to avoid the warpage I'd encountered with the cast perches like you are looking for.

LONG story short. After several attempts to contact Specialty Ford Parts I ended up purchasing a set of "rough" cast perches from someone on the board here at a great price. I had a talented friend clean up the castings and machine the perches for me, they turned out beautiful. This same friend also agreed to do the welding for me but he warned me there was a huge chance my axle tubes would warp by welding on one side like that. The axle tubes DID warp and after MUCH frustration I started all over again with a set of CRUSTY swap meet tubes and the P&J parts. Be careful when welding the cast pieces to your axle housings...

SFP is very much still open (thank goodness), I use this number to reach Jim Gordon --(626) 280-4546. Jim doesn't answer the phone before 11am, and he doesn't have a answering machine. If he doesn't pick up, he's probably with a customer, or on the can. So try again later.
He's my best resource in L.A. for maintenance parts for any year flathead or 4-banger.
