I am brand new to this website!
I just bought a 1976 Chevy Nova for my 17 yr old son for his first car!
It has a 305 V8. Everything is original, it looks sad right now. But, I know it has lots of potential! I am just looking for any pointers at all on fixing this car up and making it a fun project car for me and my son.
The 305 gets horrible gas mileage! I am planning on putting on a new intake and changing the 2 bbl carb to a holley 4 bbl. I just don't know what cam to go to to increase the performance but at the same time help with gas mileage? I don't want to get too radical here on the cam.
The body of the car is in pretty good shape except a rusted out panel below the back windshield. The interior is totally shot, but the car is 32 yrs old and looks like it!!
My Dad and I worked on an old chevy truck together getting it restored and this Nova is bringing back lots of memories for me and hopefully will make some good ones for my son!
Anyway that is me in a nutshell and why I am here checking out the site.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope to meet some of you soon!
Later!
