transmission adapter question

Can anyone tell me where to find an adapter to hook a 1955 Chevy inline 6 (235 cu in) to a TH700R4 transmission? I can already hear the statement "Wouldn't it be easier to put in a 4 or 5 speed manual transmission?" Yes that would be easier, EXCEPT for the fact that one of the people who will be driving the car had to have a leg amputated. Thanks for any help that I receive.

Umm, I think the bellhousing bolt pattern's the same?

Fraz, the 235 is different than the standard chevy bellhousing pattern. 235 is not the same as the later 6's and 8's.
