I'm heading out for a bonzai trip from Kenosha to the west side of North Dakota tomorrow morning...
Pretty much taking I-94 from here all the way there... Anybody been that route, got any ideas of places to stop and check out the local life along the way???
If all goes as planned I will be finding a place to crash for the night somewhere west of Bismark ND the town I am going to is Hettinger ND which according to mapquest is pretty much right on the North and South dakota border......
Finally going to get the 28, or 29, or 30??? something chrysler 4-door back to it's new home http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

my only suggestion is to park it sideways on the trailer and bring back as many as you can! Have a safe or fun trip, whichever you want!

There is not much to see along the way out here. The cruise nights are on Wednesday and Thursday here in the Bismarck/Mandan area and with the colder weather setting in not much is happening. Maybe Tom H has some insight. There are car functions going on in the Fargo-Moorhead area this weekend though. Eyebll has info on this.

The only thing going on here is an indoor car show on Sat and Sunday at the Fargo Civic Center by the local restorer club. Valley Vintage. Sometimes they get a hot rod or custom in it too. This years theme is the MUSTANG http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif I don't think I will make it.
Grady on here is a member maybe he can let you know what the lineup is like this year.

My dad was a charter member, and I have been for 20 years(I'm 26 now) so I'm kinda stuck.

HEHE, Hell I cast no judgment on anyone who is interested in cars, well....American cars. I know several members that are great people as well as hot rodders. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
There is also a car and bike show outdoors at the Crispy Cream on 13th Ave. S on Sunday. It is part of an event called 61 for 61. It raises money for The Roger Maris Cancer Center. 1pm-5pm
Not to many places to stay between Bismarck and Hettinger. A few small towns that roll up the sidewalks about 8:00 PM

I did a couple hitches in Watfod City North Dakota and I wish I could get a frontal lobotamy to erase the memories. I do know a great guy who lives in Bowman and his is a rodder too, but he isn't originally from there, and that's ranch country. The dirt farmers are the clannish ones it seems.
Dickinson is fine, it will put you a little farther west than you would need to go.
Will, would that guy in Bowman be Klug.

If you like Eggs Benedict, the KwikTrip truck stop at the Tomah, WI/Hwy. 21 exit (exit 143) is a good stop. They have a sumptuous buffet too..... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Klug? what a trip!
I bet he is thinking of Pat Kelly. Badass 37 Chevy Coupe. He was here at teh shop with it today. We are building his wife a 33 cabriolet. You know the car Tom
