I've been into hotrods all my life, I inherited it from my Dad, who did it in the early days when you could get an old car cause you're a good neighbor helping somebody clean up their yard. He'd soup it up and cruise around if he liked it (the Fords), or he'd take it to a friends farm and have demolition derbies on the weekend (the Chevy's). We'd go to all the shows and he'd point out all the cars he either made into pickups. or totalled and pushed into the woods. I've had alot of cars, (6 presently, 68 total) and just inherited my Uncle Johns 1930 A Roadster HotRod. The original work was done in 1964 when he was in high school and it sat from '66 to '68 while he was in Viet Nam, he played around with it after he came back, and it's been neglected (stored mostly outside) since around '70. He passed away in '95 and they just now decided to scrap it. I won't allow that to happen, it's rusted badly and the engine is long gone, but the frame is solid, (I've owned worse). I just picked up a complete 59AB flathead with a 3spd (out of a '48 Merc) and a '46 truck banjo rear that I plan to put in it. I need help, I can work Y-Blocks, but have alot to learn about flattys.
