Ok, you dont have to agree with me on the topic! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Me and my dad have been working on my car quite a bit lately. We just got the headers almost all the way done except for the Tig Welding and the Coating. I think they came out pretty dang good myself!

We have also been working on the back door. We got both door jams made for it and the latch and handle in, and working good. We just fiberglassed it all up and its ugly right now so thats why i didnt take pictures of it.
Last night we were glassing it up and my dad says "Damn!" and im like "Whats wrong?" and he looks at me with a grin and says "The next one we build will definately be steel. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" Ill have to agree with that!

Well, the headers are built finally! I bought the Speedway SBC kit and got ford flanges. Well, the ford flanges are oval shaped and the round tube didnt fit in it at all. So we thought "lets squeeze them, then theyll fit!" Right? Wrong! Still too big so we had to cut slits in the bottoms of each tube and hammer them in.

My dad made some baffles for them out of 1 Glasspack. He cut the glasspack in half and took the inside out. Then made some ends on them out of big washers. And welded a nut on one side of each one to put a set screw in. The glass just wraps around them before we slide them in. Heres the baffles......

I also got a great Swap Meet Score! I talked to Enjenjo for a while about making a hammerform Cowl Vent Lid. Well at a Car Show in Springfield we where walking through the small swap meet and found a 32 truck cowl vent which looks just like 32 closed car cowl vent for 5 bucks! We were pretty stoked about that.

Looks good Nick, I went through the same thing with the headers, almost worth buying a done set.

DAmn Nick, I sure wish you would have turn the engine around the right way before you made those headers. Now when you turn it around so the Dist. is in the rear where it belongs the headers are gonna be pointing forward. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Looks great kiddo.

Ya, i know. I guess we just didnt notice that stupid distributor upfront. After we turn the motor around like it should be we could just flip the headers upside down then they will look right. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

First thing I noticed were the gussets on the four bar links. Then I realized that they are covered in protective tape. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm still trying to figure out why the window regulator is mounted on the outside of the door skin!?!?!?!?!?!

Good to see that your still making progress on the '32. I predict that if you and your dad keep this up you'll be cruising before you know it. It's great to see a father and son team doing a project. It happens all too seldom today. Keep up the good work.

Hehe, krooser,
thats actually the inside door skin. The outside body part of the door skin isnt on it yet so what you see is the inside. we still have to finish up some stuff with the metal structure were making for that flimsy fiberglass.

Fab32, We hope to have it on the road by graduation (may)
We both have a lot of fun building it together. Sometimes we think we could kill each other but that just comes with the territory i guess.

I love cars
