expect about 50 flames for not putting this in the classified board, first off...

Second, Kaiser. The club guys are cheap and few. The price seems reasonable given the rebuilt engine and brakes, I would assume it's solid and drives, though. But even so unless you come across someone who just falls in love with it, it will be a hard sell. Sold a complete, fairly solid '47 with about enough parts to build 1/3 of another car for all of $50 last fall. The K-F club guys wanted to pay about $400 for two complete '54's with superchargers, one with a full set of wire wheels and caps, and both loaded to the gills with spare parts - both came from the same dealer who never sold them. They were both pretty rotty, but the wire wheels alone were worth more than $400 and the interiors were mint. Just so you know what to expect.

Good luck -

yeah i have 2 kaisers my self,, parts can be quite cheap to find but the restorers seem to expect that you are supposed to pay THEM for selling parts to them or something...

buy a kaiser if you like the cars, they can be made really cool especially 1951-1953 kaisers but beware that some of the restorers are wierd... especially if your gonna customize it

anyone wants 3 kaiser flatsix engines? i got 3 and i dont need em http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Packard guys are like that too, they don't want anything to do with customs and think it great sacrelige if you cut up even the rustiest POS you can find - but i can't get them to buy anything at all.

I called the guy, and he's still got it. Though I agree with what other folks have said, most of the KF guys hate when you cut 'em up, but since they arn't doin' a fucking thing with 'em, I'd get it and make it a sweet custom. That's what I'm doing with mine, of course when I actually get it running Ill get to that part...

Good cars though, and something that catches an eye at a car show.

KF guys are cheap. But take a look at bluebook value, KF cars are cheap. Shit, the most sought after cars (Kaiser Dragon and Darrin) don't bring but about $20-25k in #1 condition! A 49 Frazer is only about $8-10k in same condition.

However, they want a fortune for replacement parts. And club dues. I still keep in touch with a few of them, mainly the ones that were supportive of my ideas for my car. There's a lot of tolerance for guys who modify their KF's, although I stirred up a huge hornet's nest when I told them my plans for my 47. After I showed them pics most agreed that my planned changes were acceptable. Still got the "restore it or else" butthole emails.

S'funny, the ones that hated my Frazer plans didn't care about Henry J's being modified into drag racing material.
