63 caddy firing order

Whats the firing order of a 63caddy -390? Found on thats for sale. Guy said it wouldn't die so he pulled plug wires. Where is number one located on the cap?TP

According to my '64 Motors Repair Manual, the '63 390 Caddy's dizzy is in the front. Firing order is 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3.

#1 is at the aft side of the dizzy, next to the screw, slightly to the drivers side.

FWIW, '62 & earlier 390 Caddys had the dizzy at the back and the firing order was 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2.

firing order '63-'65 is

1 8 7 2 6 5 4 3.

rotation is clockwise.

no. 1 is just in front of the cap holddown scewhead on the left rear side of the cap from the factory. judst find tdc on no. 1 and use that for no. 1 plug.
