I found a 47 ford f1 in the wrecking yard today that had the spindles and drums. My question is can I take and remove the spindles and put them onto a car axle? or is there a differene in the king pin size that would not allow these to be used?
When I looked at the spindles and backing plates they had the same appearance of the cars, but i didn't have a tape with to take any measurements.

They are the same as car spindles

That's a good find, if the price is right. I keep my eye out looking for that stuff. Most rodders seems to overlook it. The spindles and backing plates are on Ford trucks going all the way back to 1939, although the 1939s have the wide pattern drums.

So here is a question, will the spindles work on a Model A axle?
Also, are they the same as Ford F-2 spindles. I suspect the answer is yes here. :

From what I saw today the f2 spindles are different than the f1.
