Hi guy's...
I'm in the process of getting all the parts together to re-assemble the front clip of my '53.
I've been dealing with National Chevy, and had pretty good luck so far.

But, i need the front sheet metal anti squeak kit and the're back ordered...and they don't know when the're gonna get em in.
Problem is i'm gonna need it within a week, so i can't wait.

Do any of you guy's know where i can get a complete squeak kit so i can bolt it back together?

Thanks in advance.

Tony.

Chev's of the 40's and RB's Obsolete are good suppliers for 53-4 Chevy parts, as well.

Yep,
also you can call the car shop in Orange, CA. or Steele Rubber. If the car shop has it I would be glad to go pick it up and fed ex it to ya!

www.truckandcarshop.com (http://www.truckandcarshop.com) has them. part # 53-03407 $37.00 for the kit. 1-800-243-8947

i don't know how far you are from Carlisle,PA but there is swapmeet going on sept29-oct3 they will be there might make it easier for you.

you know you can also go down to the local hardware store and buy some weatherstripping that comes with adhesive on one side and sandwhich it between the fenders and the fenderwells. they usally sell it a roll of about 4' long. just a thought.

good luck

Guy's, thanks a lot!!

I'll make some calls and see who's got 'em.

Low springs, i thought about that today at work after i posted this.
I figured if worse came to worse, i can get the fender 'U' seals, then go buy the weatherstrip your talking about to finish the job.

Thanks again!!!

FONZI, thanks for the offer man. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
