Not 53-54, but very nice 51-project from Finland. And bags are in their place.

The bags just take the place of your shocks. Front end is fairly simple unless you need to notch out for travel. The rear end can get more involved. Visit the air ride technologies website if you get a chance. The bigger the valves the quicker your lift/drop. Most of the guys here will be "anti-bag"...hehehe. Scrape the rails all the time! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Attitudor, are you guys getting a lot of influence from the M80 '49 Chevy. My good friend, Dave Wright, did all of the body mods to that car when he worked at Hot Rods and Custom stuff in Escondido, CA. Car is wild, but I never liked the missing front bumper. You guys from overseas amaze the shit out of me with your craftsmanship. I have seen so many 4 doors turned into coupes that look better than some of the cars running around over here in America. Great work! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
PS- Any side profile shots of the car?

You´re right! The M80 has given influence so much to Kari, the owner/builder of that amazing car. I think the whole project started when he saw the M80-project. Kari has thought the lack of front bumber a lot, I quess his recent opinion is to install it. We have asked those side-wiew pictures also but he won´t show them yet... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

my 54 is stock sys. front and rear.
Brian "big 5" did the work, he is here on hamb from time to time.
I don't have any close up pic.s of the sys.
the front cross member was notched alot like in those pic.s above.
Brian also notched the bottom A arm to get it to lay realy low, ( also installed dropped up-rights )
the rear has a 7" notch and the bags are mounted ahead of the axle , removed the leaf springs and its now a two link with a panhard bar.
rides nice !
these are all the pic.s I have right now, I will get around ( someday ) to taking pic.s of the sys. and I will post them.
Iam having too much fun driving it right now !
