I love this truck, I've got a '59 F100 myself. Here's an article about it from Classic Trucks magazine:

Man I love those 57-58 short wides. Ten times better looking than the 52-56. Very high on my list of cars I want. I could do without the green wheels tho, hate green. Everytime I get a green car I dam near have to give it away to get rid of it.

Man, I really shoulda gotten that ish of Classic Truck when it was on the cover... Mine's a '57, the big window custom cab's very similar. So the '59s had circular front turn signals set in the fender, too, huh? Been wondering if the '57s were alone with that design.
Man, now I gotta do my headliner in white tuck 'n roll, instead... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Actually, no. '57 & '58 had the round turn signals, '59 & '60 had rectangular ones. The So-Cal truck is a '58.
Here's some galleries so you can see the differences:

I wonder if it actually runs or the hood closes.

I bought a '57 short fleetside a few months ago... neat stuff in store for it...
The thing I am most excited about is the front suspension swap I have planned... turns out a '65ish Chevy frame is the exact same width under the cab(s)... so I'll graft one on and get 5" of drop right off the bat...
My engine is going to be a 472 cad... because it was free... if I had my choice, I'd go big block Chevy and a four speed to melt the tires off it...
I'm thinking it might end up getting painted red or white... maybe even green... and it will probably end up with either American Five spokes and radials or chrome reversed wheels and bias plys...
Interior will be black... and it'll have tilt wheel, AC and power disk brakes...
Tonnue cover out back... and a trailer hitch to haul the digger...
But I'm getting ahead of myself... I have work to do on the Model A first... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

57 and 58 have round park lenses, hence different fenders and valance than the 59-69. Different hoods too. But just the grille should be make to fit if it doesn't already. I have a 57 front end because when I was looking for a 57 all I could find was those uglyassed 60 models.
