Something is amiss and I haven't been able to figure it out in almost a week. I am trying to post my HCPU adventure thread and the photos are not showing up, just the image tag. I am doing everythign just like I have been doing for 5 years and this is what I am getting.

After missing only once HCPU (in 2005) since the second one in 2003, Big Olds finally made it there. In the past I had ridden in boyfriends cars or with the Usual Suspects in a Suburban when we had an ice storm the day we were leaving, or like last year, Big Olds was at the Austin Speed Shop getting a new interior, so this was going to be a GREAT HCPU adventure for us.

Last Friday I left my office at 12 noon straight up and headed out the door. I had once
again driven Big Olds to work that morning packed up and ready to hit the highway. I
called Aaron51Chevy to find out where him and the Usual Suspects were. They were
planning on leaving Troy at 11:30 and us hooking up on the highway. We made plans for
a certain exit. Half an hour later, just as I was approaching that exit my phone rings to
find out they were just behind me and not to take the exit…..perfect timing.

I fell in behind and just enjoyed the cruz and perfect weather. A couple of hours into the
trip we came upon my favorite exit. I always think of PurplePickup when I reach this
point…..he lives at this exit.

Just inside the Michigan/IN boarder we stopped for fuel and Aaron called shotgun in Big
Olds. That’s Cliff standing there thinking that maybe he should have been quicker.

If I just copy and paste one image tag I do get the photo to show up

Thanks Paul but that won't work in my world. I write everything in WORD or WORKS then copy and paste. Has worked forever this way, something is amiss and it has to be something simple that has changed.

Some how you cut into the address/link to the photo with the Color tag

When I hit quote this is what appears in you post:

[COLOR=blue]http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y1/MotorCityHotRodder/2008%20Events/Hunn[COLOR]
[COLOR=blue]ert%20Car%20PileUp/Friday/DSC06877.jpg[COLOR]

The color tag split the link to the photo, When I remove the color tag in the middle of the link it posts just fine.

I had to delete the backslash in the color end tags to try and show you what I'm talking about, otherwise it just shows the text as blue and you can't see whats wrong with the link.

I did it as you describe, or at least what I think you are describing, and it works for me...?

one click on image code then paste to word doc..

Paul, the issue was I started the story in WORD at work then went home and finished in WORKS on my laptop. I finally figured out the problem, had to retype a couple of pages in WORD at work, then was able to copy and paste to NotePad THEN copy and paste onto the HAMB. Sounds like fun huh??:rolleyes::D
