Certainly can't get into the league of Royce's RPU, but having fun doing the home-built job. Did away with the coil over front end. Axle was too far out front and didn't like the look. Moved the axle and steering box back 4", got a mono leaf spring, rebuilt the radius rods, got perches, F-1 shock mounts, new shocks, made lower shock mounts from some scrap stainless to hang the lower end of the shocks off the upper bat wing bolts. Still have to mount the headlights on the upper ends of the F-1 brackets. Progress, however slight, is good. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Are those split wishbones? Did you split them yourself?

Yes, they are hairpins. They are home made.

Short center tube threaded. Outer tubes slit with band saw at an angle to match up with center tube.

That photo clears it up. What size tubing did you use? Did you weld a nut into the back end or is it some kind of threaded insert?

Had to widen the 28 bed by 4" to clear the frame and better match the cab width.

Yes ladies, we have some welding to do. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
