Here's my deal...Gots a 38 Pontiac 5-widow coupe with a 69 firebird,OHC In-line-six on Board..Was wondering if anyone knew what sizes these motors were,I've heard 250 or???
Anyway, I've got one that has a cracked Exhaust man.
I'm looking for a stock or a split set-up for one...I dont know anything bout these motors but willing to learn and find some parts if any of you guys have any lying round...
Maybe a 4BBL intake? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm remembering back a long ways and that's not always good. I only remember a couple of them and they were both 250's and had 4 barrel manifolds straigt from Pontiac.

Pontiac made 230 and 250 versions of the ohc. From what I have gathered theres not much in common with the chevy six. There was a hot version of the 250 that they used in the firebirds though. I believe it had the split exhaust like you are looking for and they came with a factory 4 barrel carb. Those mills look deadly with the factory aluminum valve cover polished and a few dress up geegaws.Check the inliners boards ,they have a few ohc guys that hang around there.

the board is free I think. but for membership its $28 a year? and you get the bimonthly "12 port news" magazine/newsletter deal with some good tech articles occasionally and bonneville coverage. I had joined but let my membership lapse.

Hey, I can't help you with your OHC Poncho, other than to say try calling Tom Langdon at Stovebolt Engine Co.; there is a link to his site on the Inliners page.

As a long-time Inliners member, I can speak to the membership issue. First off, I don't think it sucks that they charge for membership. That gets you six issues of the 12 Port News, which contains inline-specific technical articles and information. They gotta pay postage, ya know. It also gets you an international members directory, which can provide some useful contacts. And it also gets you access to some expert engine and driveline advisors, who are available for you to call up and talk over your technical problems as you are building your inline. As far as I know, you don't have to pay to join Inliners in order to read or post on their web site.

Anyhow, If you're serious about inline engines, I think its worth joining.

That's the Sprint I think and it's pretty hi tech bad ass, at least in terms of the late 60's. Hell, John D even had a 'Vette clone built with one of them... so it's gotta be good. Try one of the early Firebird or Tempest sites, they might know. I've only seen pix of them.
