I'm 24 and I live in central california
I'm married (ouch) and we have a 2 month old son
I currently own a 1964 ford shortbed (no-buck hot rod)
I've grown up around dad's cars/trucks (52 ford pick-up, 64 falcon,1960 triumph tiger cub...yeah a cub!!). I was brought up to believe that you don't have to spend or have a lot of money to build a car or truck...or anything. I spent most of my childhood weekends at famoso raceway. I didn't get into the "traditional" scene until '95, my cousin had moved to san diego, he came back with a bare-metal 51' mercury that was so low I thought my ass was gonna catch on fire down the road. I really dug the blue-collar ethic that came with the traditional crowd. I work at a boiler company we primarily install and maintain boilers (also pipe weld, code weld, electrical, glorified plumbing..the old guys at work tell me that "real plumbers" only know that shit runs downhill and payday is on friday http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif). I actually like work because I get the chance to work alongside a lot of old-timers (ret. navy) and in turn I learn a lot of cool shit. I also play in a "ramonesesque" punk band....whatever punk is these days. Well there's my intro, sorry it took me so long.
