DAMN! What a show! I just got home and have been peeping the pics. The total count was 779 cars, trucks and bikes. While, yes, a few of the "wrong" cars made it in, way more didn't. We turned away nearly 50 VERY pissed fluffers. One guy even got so mad he threw his wadded up registration and it hit his wife in the face....funny shit. Anyway, again, 98% of the cars were superfuckingcool! The others got ridiculed and laughed at. I don't know how they don't get the premise of the show.....retards.
Enough of that crap. The thing I want to do is THANK everyone who came out and supported the show. I was again dumbfounded by the level of skill and ingenuity this group of creators have. FUCKING AMAZING! I got more thank yous and smiles than ever before. That is the thing that keeps me going. Thanks again.
Also it was nice to see Jay Ward out there. Thanks for making it dude!
Lastly, as with every year, I don't get to take any photos. So I would be more than happy to pay whatever shipping and junk it would take to get photos to me for the archives and website. Please email me.
Of course, thanks to the SWANX for all their help!
THANKS and see you in Detroit June 4, 2005 and then back in Antioch in September 2005 (dates to come).
Thank you Kirk for sticking with it.
The show just gets better and better.
Had a great time AGAIN..............

That sounded weird. I thought she was a guy on the HAMB. No doubt about gender in person.
DEfinitely nice to meet you.

Hey Kirk! We had a blast. Drove all night and got home early this morning. First time for me and I will be back for sure. Thanks for everything and it felt real good to be recognized by the judges.
KIRK!
As usual we had a blast. No problems, no additude. Just lots of car folk with cool rides.
Still can't get over the number of cars that showed up. The couple of cars that didn't fit, no big deal. Maybe next year they will show up with something that does.
I still hope that BP becomes a two day event. I only really got to check out half of the cars that I wanted to, and missed alot of people that I would have liked to talk to. I did run into alot of HAMBer's though.

Thanks Kirk!
Had a blast---actually had good help this year so I escaped the booth more and actually got to see the majority of the cars.
Everything seemed to run ultra smooth this year.
Congrats!!!

You Rule man...back in 97 there were like what 2 dozen cars?? and now you're reaching 1000! I remember saying back then,"Man it would be cool if this show was as big as a Goodguys event"Never thought in a million years it would grow this big though..... Keep up the amazing job you do,its a winning formula for sure..Only an East Bay Area boy could do something so cool.........

Oh yeah, did you guys see Steve Caballero there?!?!?!? What the hell? I freakd out when I saw him on Friday night at the bar. I'm not ever one to be star-struck but shit, he was a full on hero of mine when I was like 12. He was hangin' with the Road Zombies.

My family and I had a great time as usual. Thanks for putting on such an excellent show. I got to meet a few HAMBers which was very cool. The show was huge, I don't even think I got to see all the cars. I can't wait till next year. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Thank you Kirk. I had an amazing good time this year..didn't even seem like I was working (oops...shouldn't say that out loud!) From the party Friday nite at the hotel (killed a 5th of tequila....whew) to midnite saturday after the races was freaking awesome. Zero attitude ...I only had one small problem at the end of the show where a fella tossed his beer bottle on the field as he was leaving...I politely asked him to pick it up and he politely did (guess it didn't hurt that I was twice his size)
Shit I even got to spill alittle paint on a couple of cars and rub it around with my mack 00 !!!
Fuck it...make it a two dayer!

Thanks to Kirk and everyone else that contributed to this years success. I had to cut out of a friends wedding early and drive 4 hours to get there this year. Well worth it. You all get an A+ for your efforts!

Kirk, I was one of the ones to thank you in person, and I'll do it again. THANKS FOR THE KICK ASS SHOW! My only regret was not running into more HAMBers. I was thrilled to drive my own ride out there instead of cruising in with Mac in the panel. I'm already counting the days until next year! I'll be happy to send you any shots I have, I have a nice shot of your car!

Kirk, am I to believe that the Winter Rose-pink Crosley with the burgundy faux landau top and the billet 12's ain't yours?
Damn, I must be slippin' on guessing who's car was who's. Guess I'll have to find out whose that was for a feature in GARAGE.
Maybe it was RF's...
Great show as always, you punk. Gimme a buzz...

it ruled. make it two days dude....the level of what dudes are putting out is getting better each year for sure. You just don't have enough time to spend in the few hours to see it all and talk with all the folks you'd like to, kinda like disney world.....ain't no way you're gonna do it in a day. Two days would rule...or make it last until sunset. That would be rad. Pat yourself on the back dude.....see you around!

Had a blast man, you've really put together something amazing. Seems we got a lot more orignal looking cars and bikes... when you get this many minds together, I think it only gets people's gears turning and they quickly go from the typical "rockasilly" cars you see to really making some fantastic cars. I'll get you some pictures in the next few days if ya need them, and I hope to help out a little myself with the show if I can. Thanks!

One thing I HATE about Billetproof:
That it's over for another year.
I was in withdrawls all day sunday - still am.
Thanks Kirk (and the volunteers) for all your work for putting together the ultimate show. Had even more fun than previous years!
Brewsir - thanks for putting some lines on for me. Evertime I walk near my car now, I see it and smile - perfect! Not even too shakey for a hungover striper.

I read that as 'hung over stripper' at first... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Really, it was fun to watch Brewsir layin' down the stripes.

No way!! That would rule, I too would have been star struck, he still is one of my all time favorite skaters. Did he have a car there?? That fuckin bums me out even more that I didnt go this year..
F ing awesome show as usual. Thanks Kirk. That was some funny shit when the gold chainer threw his reg at his wifes face, I'll bet he didn't get any nookie this weekend. I would also like to thank all those who attended, the fairgrounds were picked up for the most part and everyone was very polite and helpful when I asked them to do things like make sure to pick up their beer bottles so I wouldn't have to. Shit we have to wait like another 363 days till next year. Not like I'm counting.

This is in my other post. I just want to make sure it's not missed.
I am a complete ass! I forgot to thank the two people who helped Billetproof the most. I forgot to do it on here (so what) and, more importantly, in person.
First off there's Big Dirty (Jason Fredriksson). He has stuck through all the bulshit rumors, ex-friend bullshit and all the general bullshit that has swirled around me and the show for the last couple of years. He constantly listens to me bitch about how much work it takes to pull off the show, then puts in WAY MORE effort than necessary to help me and the show out. Like a complete ass I forgot to let him know what his help and friendship mean to me. I guess we often take the ones we love for granted. I hope that's not too gay. If you think so....fuck off, he's my best bro and I couldn't do Billetproof without him! Thanks dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The other thank you goes out to my wife Christina who even with our new baby made about a million phone calls and ran even more errands to pull off the show this year. She doesn't read anything on the HAMB but thanks honey I love you.
Sorry for the sappy shit that is barely on topic but these two friendships rule and I'll embarass myself if that's what it takes to show my appreciation.
Jason told me not to do this but.......too bad fucker......you rule!!!

Kirk: this was my first one to attend. my Bonneville motorcycle racer buddy and i had a great time. met a number of HAMB'ers. all were great to meet and BS with..could not beleive all the great cars that were there. the full paint job cars were really out of place, but added to the mix and gave us something to talk about.
the only down side was the missing roon at the Best [worst] Western. not fun to get there in the dark and find they don't know who you are and do not recoginize the reservation number they gave me over 4 months ago. got to see a lot of the town in the dark, while trying to find a east indian motel. they had no clue as to where the fairgounds were, or how far away they were.LOL.
the car races that nite were great. when can you see 120 rigs race and only cost you $6.00. the best bang for the buck in a long time. look forward to the next one. two day's would be great tho.
