Hello Everyone,

We are Mike & Carrie from Wichita, Kansas. We have been married for thirty seven years. We met while Draggin Douglas way back in 68. So it was cars that bought us together, and here we are all these years later, former drag racers turned cruisers!!! Cruzin is a whole lot less harder on the pocket book than that racin was, and guess what, we are having a whole lot of fun these days, not that back then we weren't but at least we can afford a hamburger these days. LOL

Presently we have two cars that we show. For those of you who go to the Leadsled Spectacular shows, we are the couple with Kool Kat and Mama Said. Kool Kat is Mike's 1966 Pontiac Catalina. Slammed, shaved an Old School custom, not exactly a rat rod, but far from finished. Mama Said is my 83 Regal, it earned it's name after the car was stolen and stripped back in 03, I shamelessly used the 66 to keep the car. Mike found the 66 while combing the used car lots here to find me a replacement for the Regal, which I wanted no part of, I knew darn good and well he wasn't going to find another Regal as rust free as mine was, Mike is the one who likes land yachts, so you can imagine my reaction when he first showed me the Auqa and surface rusted 66, said he found the perfect car for me. Since I am not a sailor, I made a deal with him, told him I didn't care if it took five years to get my Regal running, but since the deal on the 66 was such a sweet one, I told him to buy the car, do whatever he wanted, I would support him 110% in the venture, six months after buying the 66, Mike had his customed cruiser. A year after that, he had my 83 running again. His buddies were ribbing him about my car right after he got it running, teasing him saying "Mama says the car stays Huh?", overhearing the conversation, I clapped my hands and said MAMA SAID!! What a great name for my car!!!! Everyone laughed then, but not today. The 3.8 Limited I have had for ten years, is well on it's way to having a Grand National look with a V8 under the hood and dual Exhaust. Gone is the vinyl top, we have the rear spoiler for it, and the car already has the Turbo hood. My lightly customed Muscle car.

The 83 is our "newest" car. Our daily drivers are a 77 Caprice Classic, 4 door sedan (a cream puff with less than 100,000 original miles on it) it is bright yellow, so we have named the car Tweety. It is our "gofer" car when we only take one of the other cars to a car show. Mike drives a 78 Olds Delta 88 2dr Sedan. The Olds is light blue with a white Landau top, we named it Bobo (short for Big Old Blue Olds).

Mike and I are also proud members of Kustom Kemps of America, we joined the club back in 2000 when the last Leadsled Spectacular was held here in Wichita.
