Blowing as in forced induction, not blowing up. I've done plenty of that myself.

Has anybody ever seen or put together a supercharger setup on a Chebby 235? hmmm... just imagine how boner inducing it would sound at full tilt...
Would an old McCulloch be the way to go, or maybe work something up with a conventional centrifugal blower. Any ideas or input?

Yea! Another 235er!
I bought an ol magazine at Pn'P with an entire section on supercharging. Back then, nothing was built specifically for the hop-up market. It was all military surplus diesel stuff. Let me read into it and I'll get back with you...

There was a article/write up in Car Craft approx 10yrs ago (it may have been longer??) about doing it. It was very informitive and they ended up putting the motor into a ChevyII...That lil car screwed for what it was...I think it would be slick esp if you could tuck it under the hood..From all the ones i've ever seen have seemed to block the drivers view in one way or another...

I don't think it'd be all that hard to figure out. I spent enough time around the damn Detroit Diesel 2 strokes, I think I can rig something up... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

PS, we ran a 6-71 with nothing over the inlet side of the supercharger once, boy did it sound cool! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'd say go with the McCulloch, it's a lot smoother install. I had no probs making a bracket for my 327 Packard. Just a 1/4" steel plate, and a brace. Like any blower, you can put a smaller pulley on it to increase the boost. Plus, if you decide to run a 4 barrel, I have an old carb hat for one if you need it. Won't fit the lager holley/edelbrock carbs, but it fits early AFB/WCFB carbe just fine.

Contact Dick Larrowe at 503-668-0352, he sells intake manifolds to mount a blower on an inline six.
