I found this carb in my shop, and want to polish it and use it on my 305 sbc shop motor. Any idea what it is, so I can get rebuild parts? There are no ID marks on it anywhere, no brand name. Only marks of the sort are a "C7AF AF", and a "C.B." cast into the top plate. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Have a nice day.

That's an experimental carburetor, made in Finland, that was tried on a few Cadillacs in 1959. When the big oil companies found out that the cars were getting over 70 mpg, they located and purchased the cars, the remaining stock of carburetors, and all the blueprints and technical data from the manufacturer. It was rumored that the inventor, Toivo Makkinen, disappeared from the face of the earth as well. Evidently they missed one !

According to a Google search C7AF comes from a '63-'67 Ford 289...

Looks like a plain vanilla Autolite (Ford) 4300 to me. Still a good carb for smaller engines.
May even have a tag with Code 9510 on it.
