I need a firewall for a '32 pickup and my cheep ass won't spring $500 or so for one. Is '30-'31 close enough to install inverted? I can get one for a fair price or has anyone ever taken a other early '30's firewall with all the hiccups and fooled into fitting? I don't have the skill to fab one from scratch.

Try this. The Speed Center here in town sells em in 2 depths and cut to fit.

most people dont catch it and others cant figure it out, but i used a firewall out of a 33-34 truck in my coupe can usally find them from 35.-250. (photo sniped from dons hot rod page http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif-thanks don) flat sheet ones look at home too especially if you cover it with polished stainless, if your going for a 60s look

Thanks,T man;they look great and are affordable. I'll square the opening and make a template. Sure beats some ideas I had. I'm open to other ideas, but this one should do it.

It is a U-fit, no need for a template. I could pre-cut one for you off a template but it is better to SCRIBE_FIT it.

Post a pic or PM me, I can help you along.

Hey, pop by my house and drill out 3,000 spotwelds, and I'll give you a '33 truck firewall. Otherwise you'll have to wait til I get more drill bits and energy. Bruce

Do a search for "wheelbarrow" and you'll find some creative alternatives. (And I'm not kidding; this is HAMB ingenuity.)
