I'm kinda brainstorming ideas for a minor change for the look of the House of Rust shop truck ('64 Chevy short bed) and was thinking about a quick Silver flake on white paint job for just the Top... It'd be my first time if I tried it so I'm wondering what do I need to get to do a quality job? or at least a 20 foot job... I have paint guns & such just what for prep, paint, hardner, flake type, clear and other stuff would I need?

There's more than a few way to do it..
ghetto way: Pound on a real wet coat of clear then blow the flake into it and clear over it....like I said ghetto!
Normal way: Mix a ton of flake in a "intercoat clear" and start laying coats until you get the amount you want.. The max I have done with minimal solvent pops is 15 coats. Then add another 3-4 coats of regular clear over it. Then wet sand like hell and buff! Always double your flash times between coats; 20-30 mins.
If you start with a metallic base coat and use a mix of small and large House of color flake you'll get the look you want in half the coats.
good luck

This is just me but i use a sata primer gun with a 2.4 tip i think ... i would have to go look but its the grey jet.. sand the car with 220 spray my base color and add the flake to the clear and put a coat on about every 15 min till the base color is covered... then wait till the next day sand the clear with 600 and re clear till the flake is burried and everything is smooth.....then 600 again lay out my panels flames marbelizers pearls candys etc. after all that is shot... clear it some more.... i went throgh 2 cans of hok silver flake 4 gal of clear 2 gal of candy a quart of marbelizer did some lace with pearls 6 rolls of 1/8th inch fine line 3 rolls of 1/4 inch and 12 rolls of 4" tape.. all on a 68 impalla lowrider.
