stupid question of the day

OK i was putting an auto meter ampmeter in my truck. Somehow the brain cell that retained the info on the correct wireing was murdered. Two posts one marked A the other B,and a light, Dont worry i remember how to hook up the light. I have had this gauge for about 10 years and i have had it in about 3 trucks so the papers on installing have been long lost, or the dog ate them or something.

Amp meters are wired in like you split the alternator wire. Take the wire from the alt go to a on guage than continue off of b. If your guage works backwards than reverse a and b.
