I just found this site while searching some older car info. My name is Jake I live on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada. I am 22 years old and an aspiring young fabricator with a thirst for knowledge of everything that is detailed high end fabrication. I started fabricating in the family sign buisiness makeing steel/aluminum neon signs, aswell as generic signs, displays, and architectural displays. I always liked building the classy neon signs and got into welding and fabbing in my teens to fasilitate my hobby building trucks to bash around the many backwoods trails. I have worked machining parts and doing fabrication and mechanics at an Offroad machine shop. My current job is at a custom shop doing frame off restorations of older cars/ and building hotrods. My main focus right now has been building a 1958 Caddilac Eldorado Biarritz. Last week I finished welding repairs and straitening of the frame, friday started fitting the body and cutting it apart. In the morning im going to finnish removing the old firewall. Im glad there is a forum like this so I can learn some old tricks from some true oldtimers at the fabrication game. I hope to read some build threads, and share technical infromation. Cheers from Canada -jake
