Many times I'll see an ad where someone asks where is ?? Would they be interested in buying if it wasn't too far? Might be, but do they lose out because someone says I'll take it before they get a response from the seller as to the location? All you have to do to locate any town is use Google search and put the name of the town and state in. The name will come up on the screen click on it and a map showing where it is will come up

But wouldn't it be so much easier if they just put down the location?A lot of people use the location as the criterion for interest in a part or vehicle. And experience teaches us that it is a lot better if you can actually go and fondle the part or car before committing to buying something sight unseen. We all know how photos can be deceiving. Why hide the fact of where its located?I would think it would generate more responses.(PS,dialup customers out in the rural areas spend minutes, not seconds, waiting for the maps to load....so frustrating)

True, but I've seen guys ask that question when the sellers town and state are right there under his avatar. If the guy only has the state or some funkyassed location stated, like "middle of nowhere" I can understand the question. That's not what this post was about.

Plus, you always get the guy posting for a buddy. You may know where the poster is, but the car could be in another state.
