Yep thats correct ! I think I'm going to sale my newly finished HA/GR dragster ! I have alot going on now ,and just don't have the time or space for this car ! Wish I did because it is a blast to play with !! i will build another one next year after I get my garage done ! I don't want it sitting outside and could use the money to help with the new garage !!! So my question is this ,how much should I ask for it ? 1955 235 straight 6 ,1955 chevy rear end,1949 front axle,1937 chevy steering gear box, everything else is new !!! all has only 7 passes on it !!!!

rule of thumb for materials in my opinion is total cost x1.5 then figure what your time is worth per hour, total the hours and add that to the cost of materials.
a well built bare chassis, and i aint talking a roller here, just the chassis alone is worth over $3k EASY when you figure the materials, consumables, engineering and labor and again, thats minus axles. the speed merchants are/were askin $3500 for the Ozark mountain special as a roller with the bodywork and minus the drivetrain.
i know myself if i was to sell mine once completed, it would have a sticker over $6k
one thing to keep in mind is this... and rand man can attest to it as well, they dont sell real well. its a niche kinda race car

I don't reccomend building these for resale. Mine is still for sale, but I'm not going to give it away.

Not building for re-sale at all ! I've had more fun in the 2 times out ,than any other car I've owned !!!! Wish I did not have to sale it !

The only interest that I have seen for one of these cars on the HAMB is at a price that would make you mad. Not much better on racingjunk.com. I am going to blow mine apart and use the parts to build something that will sell....like cheap rat rod or 53-4 chevy with a flaked roof. Zilla.
