The rectangular tubing structure on top of the rails is the subfloor bolted down. Won't be at Billetproof, but I will be...

Hey Adam, give me a call... What's the timeline looking like on this thing?

How's that Carson top coming along on the Chevy?

That is some nice frame work. I guess you have the square tubing bolted down so when you tie it into the body it will be removable? Looks great.

Draglinks, he's running that flathead V-8 as shown mocked up in the pic. I think the dude building the frame/chassis set-up is a knowledgable and very experienced guy... So, I'm pretty sure the frame will get boxed at some point.

Nice work, looks like your serving "dropped-axle" as the main course, with a side of brake parts http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The guy doing the work is in Fresno and his name is John Taylor...he rules. Like I said a while back, I built my one car for the year and am still working on my '51 Chevy...so I am having John build this for me. His work is simple and clean. I am chroming or powdercoating everything under the car so I can finally have a car that feels complete and finished. The flatty pictured is a beefed-up '49 8BA with all the goodies. John is modifying a '32 chopped windshield setup to fit the '30 cowl, it's gonna look really clean. I'm going with a '29 grill shell, I like them as much as '32's and they are more affordable. Thanks for the compliments, I will pass them along to John. Here is a picture of his daily driver...

I don't understand the 32 windshield modification - what will that do to the car? No visor?

Nothing to it, just got a good deal on a '32 setup complete! Won't really do anything for the car at all. It's a roadster so no visor anyway...

Neat car... but that body that is on there isn't a roadster... and it originally came with a visor, it's just missing.

Tell him to keep up the good work, I bet it will be really cool when finished.
Sam.

They really do. This was one of the points I was admiring. Is the tail of your transmission going to be above the stock cross member, or are you going to "hang" your transmission from those tranny mounts?

Sam, I am aware that it's not a roadster, but it's going to be...just haven't hacked off the rest of the top. We are using the 32 roadster windshield and stanchions and modifying it to the car because I got a pretty good deal on it.

Don't see many sport coupe hot rods. Personally, I love them. Sounds like it's gonna be a roadster, correct?

Projects coming along real nice, keep up the good work!
John's daily is really cool...

Its your car..ofcourse..but I agree with titus...I'd stick to the sport coupe looks...either way..its gonna be cool when on the road...since its already cool looking, sittin' in the garage http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks...I am actually going to have a carson-top made to look like a chopped version of the original sport coupe top. I just really want a roadster. On the road in a month or so...stay tuned.
