We might want to bring the digger down to run.
I went to their web site... it says stuff about "full credentials", "goodie bags", "camping"... "Top Fuel, Jr. Fuel, A/FX cars" but nothing about what it costs or who you pay if you want to run an altered...
TIA

I don’t know for sure but I remember a guy I knew (that is no longer with us) say that he wanted to run but they would not let him because he had not run some other events.
This was like 3 years ago.
Call Greg Sharp at the NHRA museum.

Sam, I answered you in the other thread on the CHRR.
You must be pre entered to run, unfortunately the deadline to do so was Sept 15. The car must be or look similar to a car that would have run 30 years ago, (your car certainly does). There is no charge for the car, but driver and crew must have CHRR credentials. The car must pass NHRA tech and if it runs 9.99 or quicker you must have a current NHRA comp license.

I see the NHRA as two parts... one that wants to compete with NASCAR, know it can't, but keeps trying anyway... and the other that wants to preserve its history.
Too bad there wasn't a racing association that catered to the true Nostalgia racer... around here.
I ain't complaining... there are plenty of events like Palmdale and the Kingdon Reunion that are fun for us... then we spend the rest of the year just running our car for fun...

Sam, I know what you mean about the Palmdale but the Kindon Reunion never let any cars run. It was more like a car show, a wet dream. Do like AV8 says and give Greg Sharp a call. What do I know, it could be a wet dream too but maybe they'll let you in the staging lanes for an exhibition run. I've never seen the lanes at a strip prepped for a race as well as they do for CHRR though...
