Last night I played with the 56 pickup for a few hours. I installed the passenger side door handle and the alt. I was tring to remember how to attach the GM PS pump to the 351W, but it beat me for the night. I found a bracket that needs to be modified and will work great and look better as well. Its about 2" too short though. I should be able to weld on a piece of flat stock to make it up. It seems one of my power window motors is shot. as well as the wiper motor. Im going to borrow a wiper motor from one of my uncles early Broncos and see if it will work. On the window motor? Not sure yet. I will need to remove it and see if I can run the model number. Im still playing with the ignition. I was thinking about bolting the module under the seat, but I got to looking and think that behind the kick panel may be a better spot.

Not much got done this weekend, but the radio now works. Not sure how, since the power and ground wires are not hooked up. Maybe those are only for the tape deck part of it. Im going to finish the custom GM PS pump bracket tonight, to hang it on the 351W. Hopefully it only will take me one try. Im still trying to figure out where to hide the ignition module. Will a magnet from a speaker interfer with it?

The bracket is done. I have to hit the store tonight and get an alt spacer to get everything to line up. This is going slow, but it is going forward.

Not hardly any progress, but I took some pics.
1st is the 351W. I really like the aircleaner lid. It is from a Granada. I just used a cheapo chrome base.

My dad was not a fan of a cut up dash. He thought it should be all steel and sleek. Forgive the steering wheel. I got it with my 69 Mustang and I couldn't stand the Camaro wheel. I did make the horn button from a old hubcap center. I plan to make a better adapter that wont bend like the Grant kit, in the future.

My take on the Chevy Rally rim. Its painted with "hammered steel" spray paint.

I like the Ralley wheels painted like that. I always thought that the stock silver paint looked kind of cheap.

Finding the mini moon that fit was the biggest help. I hated the factory "top hat" caps. They are find on a GM, but really look out of place on other makes.
