When I work on my 46, doing some things are more enjoyable and give me more satisfaction then doing other things. Replacing the firewall, rocker boxes, truck and floors were a blast when I had the right stuff to do it with. Camper jacks for lifting the body is without a doubt the way to go. I don’t remember which HAMB member turned me onto this, but I sure own them my thanks. The rotisserie helped matters as well, but it wasn’t a must have, just a nice to have. I think the pace on the project is going to pick up now after making this milestone.

FEDER is the camper jack guy you speak of. He posted pics of a Merc body lift-off he did, and I copied it. Works excellent. I used his idea (and the exact same jacks you used) to lift the body of my Merc off it's frame and transplant it onto a newer chassis. I ordered mine from a camping place nearby, took a couple days to get them. I went one Saturday morning to pick them up, and they looked at me like I had lobsters coming out of my ears when I told them what I was actually using them for...
your progress looks excellent. Nice to have a rotisserie, huh? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
