Life can really be a pain in the ass with the limits it puts on time. Between 50+ hrs a week at work, school and lifes responsabilities my time got sucked away over the past 2 yrs of trying to build my car. I was close to really getting on it and trying to get it done, but as they say "it is never the right time to have kids" there is only better times to have them. So being 28yrs old I figured this is probably one of the better times.
I put the car up for sale and was almost to the point of parting it out. I really didnt want to , especially seeing I would make more money by parting it out, but what good is money if you dont have any time. So the "3 week wonder boy"(see a post by me a couple of months ago) calls and says a family member wants to buy it. They look at it and buy it.
This is where it get interesting.
The steering is not hooked up, nor is the entire steering column or brakes. And there is no floor. They put plywood in it hook up the steering and tow it over 30 miles with a piece of pipe with a tow hitch on one end and chain on the other. They proceed to build, chop, and get running this car in a month and a half. here is a pic of it before and now.
If this isnt love for the craft , I must be missing sumthin. You builders rule!
