I think the next Paso is in may. I hope you realize that LA to SF is a lot longer drive than around your little island. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Distance & time have no relationship over here - it takes me 45 minutes to go 22 miles - it's crazy. I tell folks when they first get here to double the mileage & that's the minutes unless they're driving more than 2hrs - then figure a flat 50mph & add 50%!!

So LA to SF ain't no big thang!

LA to San Francisco is an average 4 to 4.5 hour drive.

Paso is always at the end of May...Memorial Day if I remember correctly...got a place to stay? I'd be more worried about that than the drive from LA to SF...Morro Bay has a few motels on the coast...about 30 miles down the hill from Paso...

After the Paso event, you can always head over to Cholame (about 30 miles east of Paso) and see the exact spot where James Dean died...believe there's a nice marker there.

As for other car events out there...I'm sure there won't be any shortage...

At the wrong time of day the 4 hours becomes 6-7 with commuter traffic.
