they were made. I have a set on my olds. visor, the consumate spider collector thought he had all sizes/rings/accessories 'til he saw mine, so I guess they're rare? speedaddict gave 'em to me. the HAMB is a great place.

Yeah Marty, just when you think you have all your
shit together on some old speed company's parts,
a new piece shows up.

I have old Cal Custom catalogs that don't even list
that size.
Make's since though that 5 on 5 Spiders were made,
cause Olds and Pontiac were still runnin that pattern
in '58 when the Spiders hit the streets.

But your set is the only ones I have ever seen made
by Cal Custom in 5 on 5.
They sure look good on your Olds man. Nothing like
the real thing.

Hey next time you see the 4D....it will be runnin the
Spiders, Glamour Rings, and the Beauty Rings! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

i think they only made 5on5's for a vvveeeerrrryyyy short time. i like to collect that shit to and have never seen a set in person. i'm still lookin for a set of mini trim(glamour) rings for either 14 or 15 in wheels. i sold the set of 14s i had to a desperate friend thinking i wasn't going to use them for to long a time and now i want to use a set and all i have are ones for 13s which are going on projects already. if anyone knows(visor) where a set of either(14or15) are please let me know. thats what i'm planning on doing on the wife's 55 plymouth on fogged wheels...ken....

We sell new sets of spiders $199 for a set 4 1/2 and 4 3/4 bolt patterns. I think Moon offers the same sizes. I wish they made the new ones 5 on 5 then I would run em on my 61 Olds.

Well if anyone has got a set of spider caps that are 5 on 5 I will trade you for these supper clean olds caps with bullet centers that I think are pretty sharp.... Well there not that sharp but they are pointed.

Visor, the constipated Spider collector, How about 'em with a 2-bar spinner. I scored 3 of 'em at the last swap. Chevy pattern. I assume they were late production?

I have a set of Cal Custom Spiders I picked up at Hershey twenty years ago, maybe. Still in the original box. 5-lug but not sure of the size. Box says it will fit:
64-67 Buick Special
Camaro 67
Chevrolet 49-67

I guess that the standard Chevy pattern, then, huh?.

Here's a thought:

I'm thinking of making a set of custom wheel covers using a flattop dog dish cover with the spider mounted on top of that. Paint or chrome the dogdish and you could use ANY size spider to finish it off.
