question on my 1964 chevy ignition

stupid question,how do i get the tubbler seperate from the switch.i know you use those two little holes,but witch way do you turn, pull ect.any help would be cool. thank you, jimmy

Im sure there is a tool for it, but on some I have inserted a stiff wire of correct size into the small hole in face of switch and insert key and turn till it can be removed.

yeah,this one has two holes.i inserted two saftey pins and tried to turn it and it wouldn't turn.i was also lieing under the dash.i'll try it again tomorrow.thanks,i was just wondering if i missed something. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

most times u have to have the key in the on position to get them to come out.
