I don't know where else to turn and hoped someone could give my buddy a hand. My good friend is into customs but more late model, he has a mid 90s Caprice that he lowered 2" in the front and 3" in the back with new springs. The problem is that the current shocks are obviously too long. Many suggested adjustable Konis but they're over $200 a set. I suggested air shocks for the rear but I can't find them as being available. Would overload shocks (with the external spring) work in the rear? Any other applications that could work?

Thanks!

You can probably find shorter shockes here: Monroe shock info (http://www.monroe.com/catalog_lookup/ocl_miscappinfo.asp)

Hillbillyhellcat, Check out Mooneyes USA website. They have shocks, springs, and dropped front spindles for lowering early '90's Caprice longroofs. I'm sure this hardware will go good on sedans. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Go to a good parts house. Take one of the old shocks. Have the nice guy or girl at the counter look up a new shock in their book. Real simple.
