View Full Version : Resisting O/T Threads

I got a PM from Ryan today regarding the Travis Barker thread, and how it got out of hand. One thing Ryan said is that when we post to dumb, O/T threads, they just get bumped to the top of the list, adding fuel to the fire. And like fires, if no "fuel" is added they will burn out quickly.

I for one am going to resist posting on these threads, and I'd like to ask the regulars to do the same. Since many FNG's only want attention, denying them their strokes should do the trick. I like to flame a newbie just as much as the next guy, but lately its getting out of hand, and we need to get back to Hot Rods.

So, can we take the high road? Or am i wasting my breath so to speak?

By the way, I hope this is the right place for this thread, as I thought it shouldn't be on the main board.

I agree, they kinda fall into the same catagory as people that are hooked on forwarding you meaningless emails all day! In a huge world like this, there will always be people each and every day who are sick and pass on or have accidents and the list goes on and on. It is unfortunate, but a reality......And the rules state when you become a member here, this isn't the place to discuss topics like that!

I agree, ignoring the crap posts allows them to disappear.;) Although, sometimes it's hard not to reply.

You mean like the thread about "Losing the younger generation" today? Mission accomplished, no post.
