Hey Guys, my name is Juha and I live in southern Sweden.

I have had vintage sportcars since I got my drivers licence more than 20 years ago but a complete newbie to the Hot Rod scene. Been reading, absorbing and learning here for the past six months, the amount of knowledge around here is just incredible.

My experience of my roadster so far:

the exhaust fumes make me feel slightly sick and everyone says I smell of gas. The twin Webers will eventually turn me into a deaf guy and my ears are ringing, the ride is stiff and making my bad back even worse, I barely see the road while driving at night because of the headlights, the windshield is not really a "shield", got hit by a stone while driving behind another rod, well I guess I needed the dental work anyway, the tires have a life of their own in high speeds, no heater, no ac, no radio, no comfort...

and guess what?

I am f**king loving it!

this is by far the best and most rewarding "drivers experience" I have ever had.
I love that hot rod!

Looking to build a period correct, steel bodied, traditional hot rod in near future.

Cheers,

juha

Juha, welcome from Maryland USA. I already went through that smelling like exhaust or gas thing with my coupe. It may be distastefull to some but getting the smell, the sore back and the leg cramps is so much fun. I did a 150 mile run ( sorry, don't understand metric measurements ) yesterday.....smiling all the way.
You will enjoy it here....you car is just TITS !!

Skip, you´re right, should have done it long ago. Lurkers don´t get to post, on the other hand, my posts to the Teixeira Willys thread will end up being "holy shit", "good lord", "oh my god" and "WTF"...mr Grand-Master-Royalshifter:)

Thanks Daniel/tack så mycket!

This summer the engine was tuned and dyno´d, suspension set up changed slightly and now it goes like a cut cat!

Had a look at your site and I´ll be listening to Satans Terror Patrol at work tomorrow, my colleagues will be "delighted"..:)
