Hello, my name is Irene and my husband Shug, live in So Cal and have been the So What Speed Shop the past 10 years. Shug doesn't know how to turn on a computer but building pre 34 hot rods is more his thing. I have been a bit intimidated about posting and being a newbie, but life's tuff. When Shug is not in the shop building a car for sale, we have raced the past 10 years at Bonneville and El Mirage. I'm not one to spend a whole lot of time online but the community here seems genuine and appreciative of traditional American hot rods.

Welcome to you both, The 1st time I met Shug-He was driving a right hand drive 34 w/a cage and no windsheild along with Limey Steve to a SRF club meeting in San Gabriel, not sure if you both were even married yet! Glad to see you guys still running the tank.

Good to have you guys for sure. I bet alot of guys here are saying "about time" haha. Looking forward to hearing about all of your endevours.
I actually spoke to Shug on the phone years and years ago....i'm guessing about 5 or 6 years now. I was just getting into hotrodding and wanted some advice. He was totally cool and offered me some good practical advice.
If I remember correctly, he told me that you were a bit of a speed demon on the highways and couldn't imagine me putting any harder miles on the road than you guys! hahah.
I donno if he'd remember now, I was just a clueless rookie bugging him on the phone :) Either way I definately appreciated it...says alot about somebody when they take the time to help newcomers get a good understanding of hotrodding.
