Nice thing about old Chrysler's they used Budd Doors and very little wood other than the tack strip for the roof! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Other than the wood tack strip, is there a difference with budd doors?? I haven't heard that name (term) before, but then again, I have never owned a chrysler like this before either....

budd is the people that make truck rims. they also built the 32 33 34 ford trucks. mostly ford stuff henry took care of his friends during the lean years of the depression so he let them make parts for him mopar did the same.

Steve, BUDD was the company that made the bodies, like Murry or Fisher, or Briggs. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sorry http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I was watching it too,, and no one made a bid on it all week,, just for the hell of it I decided to ask if he would do a buy it now.. He replied back and said to make him an offer he would get back to me... I had just sold about 250 worth of extra motorcycle parts that week, and had that sitting on my paypal account, so that's what I offered.... SWEET!!!!!!!

Wingnutz,,, we will definatley be at the pileup. Probably leaving sometime friday afternoon, through sunday... If I don't end up going to get the body this weekend, I hope to make it to jefferson for the swapmeet!!
