All the weather prognosticators are saying it is going to rain all day friday:(and saturday and sunday. I am going to call my cousin friday at noon to see if it is raining in Tulsa before I embark with the truck and racecar. I don't want to spend $100 on gas and be washed out.:(Roy

Roy,
Did you get a chance to test the new tranny at all??? I do hope that the rain holds off, I want to know what it will turn.
Wish I could be there!!!!!

2B, all I have done is have it up on jackstands and run it in low, high and reverse. I also ran it up against the brake to see at what rpm I could hold it at. That was all that I have done. I don't have a place here that I can run it without loading it on the trailer and hauling it somewhere. I'm sure someone would call the sherrif if I unloaded it on some country road and made a few passes. The gendarms would show up as I was struggling to push it up on the trailer.:pRoy

Nosuf wore his rain jacket around his waist all weekend at H.A.M.B.drags and the weather was nice and sunny.

Are you guys coming to Kansas City for the nostalgia race the 3,4,5 of October? I talked to Todd Bridges and he is going to get with the race organization group and see what can be worked out for us. When I talked to him last spring I was told we would get free entry with extra pit passes and we could set up our own program and run it however we wanted. He just wanted the HA/GR cars there.

We're working on our car every night and should have it ready. I'm getting excited.

Anti-rain dance, yeah sorta. But it's really hard to describe since step 1 is 'consume mass quantities'. Then everybody just thinks I'm drunk.

:)Ron, I'm going to come, what I want to know is what is going to transpire on those 3 days. I for sure won't be there on friday. My wife has to work. If saturday is just time trials then I'm not to sure about that. If saturday is like Tulsa was where there is eliminations and winners on saturday and then again on sunday I will find a place to stay overnight. I went to Wentzville for 4 days and nothing really happened until sunday afternoon. I won my class but it was sure boring sitting around for days on end just grudge racing and interclub racing. In the old days saturday was eliminations and sunday was eliminations. The winner of top fuel on saturday got to sit out sunday eliminations until the last run which was for top eliminator of the meet. If I had an old beater I might want to flog the thing to death for 2 days and then hope that it held together for eliminations on sunday but I don't want to treat my car that way.;)Roy

Roy,

It'll be good to see you again and hopefully we'll get to run each other. That's assuming we get our car together in time.

I'm waiting for the call from Todd Bridges to see when we can run.
