Hey guys,
I just inherited a 57 F100 and plan on doing a restoration over the next year or so. The truck was my father's and we used it to get wood and haul stuff around. I plan on turning it into something of a lowrider, but just to get it running would be amazingly nostalgic. I havent really decided whether to ratain all original parts since its such a solid truck or to swap to a more efficeient engine/ suspension for better cruising. Anyway, you all just want to see the pics so here are a few-

Im from Toney Alabama, just outside of Huntsville. I have a brother going to UAB in Birmingham for medical school. Well I got the beast rolling last night, jacked up the tires, actually got some air in em, and towed it out of the weeds a few feet. I took A LOT of high resolution pics so i could ask you all just how bad my rust is. I think this thing is pretty restorable. Im used to sanding and blocking for my uncle who lives next door to where this truck sits, hes a body man- www.woodsbodywork.com (http://www.woodsbodywork.com) And most of the cars hes restored start with MUCH less parts and usually MUCH more rust. The engine "turns over", if thats what you call easilly rotating the radiator fan (crankshaft?) and i think my first stage of this project will just be to fire the old beast up. I'll post a full topic when i get the pics uploaded. Until then, anybody wanna decode my VIN plate?
