Speedray from northeast Kansas here. I signed up a little while back and thought I should get around to introducing myself. My latest project probably looks a little out of place here and I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but the great thing about getting old(er) is.....I care less and less what anybody else thinks!
I showed this bike at the World Championship of Custom Bike Building show in Sturgis this past August but it’s already back in the shop with parts stripped off it. I kinda let it take me where it wanted to go style-wise.....but I think it led me astray. The coming improvements involve a shotgun scoop, weedburners and satin black paint.....among other things. Here's a picture from another angle. The engine is a 302 Ford with a Ford Performance Roller cam, Edelbrock aluminum heads and HEI ignition.
The "transmission" is a Winters quick change with the axles sawed off. The clutch is a Crowergilde, the wheels and brake are from a Suzuki Hayabusa although I'm going to fit a larger disc and different caliper to the rear.
All the design and fabrication, paint, everything...it's all by done by me in a two car garage.
