I have a pair of original "Sharp" 8ba heads.
They have seen very little use in their day and were removed from the engine and stored.
They haven't been milled and all water holes are mint.
The dilemna is that the spark plugs were left in all these years. (So you know what that means.) I removed the plugs and sure enough all the aluminum threads stripped out with the plugs.
I'd really like to use these heads. I was thinking about either putting heli-coils in all plug holes or retapping to a larger type plug.
I'm sure others have run into similar problem
