I was reading in that OL SKOOL RODZ magazine on how the jimmy shine truck was inspired by these two trucks, and since my truck was OBVIOUSLY inspired by his I would really like to see pics of these trucks. The magazine said one of the trucks was hot rod magazines jan 52' hot rod of the month..... anybody have any pics of these things?????? Lukester

Jimmy Shines underwear is on ebay right now. You should buy em.
They have an Iron Cross on the ass.

I want to see 'em too. AND I want to know what size wheels and tires you're running on the front of that truck. My roadster needs bigger stock in the rear and I'm looking at that thinking it's a good starting point. 17 inch? 18 inch? Wondering about the width too and if it caused you any problems fitting tires.

[/ QUOTE ] While the similarities are obvious,I think your truck looks meaner than Shine's.

I may be a bit biased as well, but an Early Chevy looks cooler than the Ford anyday! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Someone has to have those pics.

Desbrow's is '50 Mercury Cream and Miller's is '56 Ford Golden Rod Yellow.

I don't care for the big back window on the yellow one but they are both bitchin trucks. The first one is how I'd like my '34 to look but I'm not sure if I want to channel it or not. I should be getting to it in about 10 yrs. so I've got time to decide.

I still like the Lukester version better than those two and Shine's pick em ups. W-blocks are just so damn cool looking! I have an old album with a 409 in an A on the cover. Hit City '64 I think is the name. Kept that album since I was about eight years old 'cuz of that car!

That BIG rear window is KOOL...
The ugly big rear window turned what would have otherwise been a decent tribute to a fine old hot rod into a GG-style street rod.
