Ciao a tutti!!!
I am Erik and I live in the north Italy.
I speak Italian and French and I try to write in English.
I follow you for a long time but I have never written.
I love the hotrods but here it is very a difficult passion for the laws. It's the "new frontier"...

I drive a Plymouth Barracuda '68 and a Harley Davidson Shovel old chopper.
Now I restore a Kaiser sedan 1949 4dr...

Welcome! Keep us posted on your projects. Your 1949 Kaiser would be difficult to restore here. In Italy? A very ambitious project. Why don't you put the flat head in the Kaiser? Do you think the authorities would be able to figure out what you have done? Good luck!

I believe is the only Kaiser here, I don't have news of others.
The project is really arduous, but I has wanted to save it from the demolition. Its conditions were very bad. So much rust and big holes...
Now I have almost ended to restore the body...
The engine has been to the interperies&water...

For the Italian law cannot replace original engine!

The flat I will put it on another rod project that I wait...

Capochi: in Italy I know some people that have rod projects in work in progress. Magari ci si vede a qualche raduno...

Hello and welcome!
Just curious, if you can't replace the original engine, can you then build a hot rod using that motor?

outlaw... or they are found some alternative way to the limit of the law...

on a Ford A 4banger cannot put in v8, not even to remove the fenders
... but so much we are outlaw and we do it the same..

they generally do him some homologations through other European nations... as Germany...

Aosta Valley, 1h of car from Turin.

In Italy, any association of rods doesn't exist, but the news is spread
with the phone, internet, tam tam and forum...
One of the meeting point for some Italian rodders is inside a forum of fans of American auto "usacarsforum"...

Congratulations for your marriage!

If you come, Welcome in Italy!
I live away from the zones that you have signalled me...
Rome is a metropoli, for the ancient Romans in "Caput-Mundi" (in Latin to the head of the world), Firenze is in a beautiful region Tuscany, in Venezia no cars...
I live in Aosta Valley, in the west north to the border between Italy-France and Switzerland, near the Monte Bianco-Monte Blanc one of the highest mountain in Europe... if you pass from here and you want call me... (I send you my mail)

If instead you stop by Milan and you want, I can try to put you in contact with some other friends...
What date are you in Italy?

Buona vacanza!
