remember that 58 ford that Marcus posted on here a couple weeks ago from craigslist? he thought it was an abomination because i had a SBC in it,was chevy powered, turned into a big debate about whether or not 350's were any good or had any merit bein put into that era ford etc? Well I looked at that ad, and that thing looked like a cheap driver to me, so I bought it, I guess it had a blown(as in fucked up) 6 cylinder and 3 speed, so the guy spent a shit load of dough paying a shop to put a rebuilt 350/350 in it, rewired it, rebuilt front end, brakes etc. The body is pretty damn straight. I got it for a good deal, my friend up there in the East Bay, picked it up for me and says it hauls ass. i'm gonna put ball joint spacers up front, pull the front bumper, pizza cutters up front and blackwall cheater slicks in back, metalflake steering wheel, and drive it. 58 ford gasser holmes!

Then you can tie some beer cans to the back and shoe polish "Just married " on the rear window. Congrats a couple days early Dan.

Just goes to show that what my Grandma always said was true. "One man's abomination is another man's Gasser project"
.....Well, it was something like that.

SBC and "hauls ass" are synonymous with each other... while some other motors aren't. Are you going to be picking it up and taking it to Billetproof?
Sam.

my '59 ranchero had a 352 FE police interceptor motor in it, it runs better in my 28 sedan than it did in that big of a car. I dig ford motors, and if this thing had a nice Y-block or FE motor I woulda been happy, but the price was right, and i aint a snob about ford motors bein in ford cars, if i had my way it would have a blown hemi, but i don't think i coulda found that for what i payed for the car. Anyways, it's gonnabe a lesson in buildin somethin cool outta something that no one else wanted. for cheap. oh yeah, and I have plenty of other "crazy" cars, this is just gonna be my daily driver, so who cares?!.oraley! chupacarburetor!
