chevy panel /suburban rear fenders

i"ve got a 51 suburban the drivers rear fender is really bad and they are hard to find. the guestion is if you cut the top section of a regular pickup fender will the radius match the wheelwell of the suburban. has anyone tried this. let me know thanks

I don't know the answer, but would like to know.

Do you have both available so you could make some cardboard templates to compare?

I have a suburban, and plan to widen the rear fenders using a set of pickup fenders.

don't have a set of pickup fenders butt if i find a cheap enough set at pomona sunday i'll give this a try and let you know

oldsub i made a template of my burb fenders and took them to pomona they do look like the truck fenders will work but i did't end up buying any. got really lucky and found a primo set of burb/panel fenders for cheap so got those instead they are currently out being blasted, hope to have em on next weekend.
